While you are driving alone or with some friends, have you ever felt that your car air conditioning systems works unbalance? It means that they blow warm on one side and cold on the other side. Perhaps, you never hear about this before, but actually it sometimes happens in the car air conditioning. This condition u usually occurs on a car which is equipped with a dual zone climate control system. The dual zone systems let the front passenger or driver select comfortable temperatures. Since this is considered as common problem, you do not have to worry since it can be fixed through several steps.
Commonly, unbalanced car air conditioner can be found in the older automobiles. Nowadays, car and truck air conditioners are designed more efficient than the older counter parts. The systems which use less Freon can make a leak more quickly and affect the performance of the heating ventilation and air conditioning system. Because of the design of dual AC systems, low refrigerant may cause different temperature from one side of the dash to the other. Often, the car mechanics get surprised to know that the difference is so high between ten to twenty degrees. The simple thing to try is to top off the system or remove all Freon. Then you need to recharge the unit with the factory specified amount. Mostly, after doing proper Freon recharge the temperature of all side will be the same.
If that does not work, there is another possibility. Remember that the dual zones supplies different temperatures from vents on either side of the dash. It is caused by the use of small doors within the HVAC housing. If there is proper control in the doors, the air temperature on the left and right side can be adjusted to your comfort level. Often, the motor or actuator which controls the door for either side fail to work or the door itself cannot work properly and make prevent the temp from being adjusted.
You may contact the local mechanics to get more complete information and actions, so that the air conditioning will work well as you wish.
